How far do you believe that it is a good idea?
(closed): questions that have yes/no answers
Do you think you will pass the exam?

What about you? What do you think?
(question tags) It is easy to learn, isn´t it?

Don´t you think we should start a different hobby?
(tense changes): develop the conversation by asking about different times
Did you use to do this as a child?
Do you usually take to things easily?
Are you going to try to learn a language in the future?
(hypothetical) conditionals and wish
Would you learn faster if you had more time to practice?
Do you wish you had started learning with us earlier?
