The APTIS is a quick and efficient way to obtain English language certification for A1-C1 level. The APTIS exam has been developed by experts in English language teaching of the worldly renowned British Council. Like to the Linguaskill and Oxford exams, it is an adaptive-test that is completely computer based and supervised by British Council invigilators, and also tests all 4 language skills (Reading, Listening, Writing and speaking) as well as grammar and vocabulary.
Pros:
- reasonably priced (74 – 88€)
- quick results (48-74 hours) and certificate in 7-10 days
- level test so that you cannot fail it!
Cons:
- lack of preparation material
- level test – not certification (check validity)
- lack of interaction in the examination process
Candidates are graded to Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). It is grades 0-5 and the candidate will receive a A1-C1 level certificate.
