False friends (similar words to your own language with a different meaning) can be a language learners worst enemy as they can easily be confused when speaking. This is a quick speaking activity to help change bad habits and get rid of these common errors. It can be adapted to any set of false friends, see the list (HERE).
The activity is simple, the speaker must try to correct the false friends and then use them in a conversation. It is essential to put them into real conversations to assimilate them well.
